Anime Filler List
filler
Filler is the stuff the anime studio made up while it waited for the manga to get ahead again. Some of it is fun. Most of it you can skip without losing the plot. Pick a show and you'll get every episode labelled, our verdict on each arc and a watch order with the filler taken out.
The heaviest here is Boruto at 71% filler. The lightest is Jujutsu Kaisen at 0%.
One Piece filler list
1999 to today · 1,180 episodesFor a show this long, One Piece is light on filler. It mostly comes in short side trips of two to thirteen episodes between arcs, so you can hop over them without losing track of the crew.
8.6%102 filler · 41h savedBleach filler list
2004 to 2012 · 366 episodesBleach is the one where filler hurts. Whole seasons of it sit between manga arcs, and a couple of the boundary episodes slip real manga scenes into the last filler episode, so check the edges before you jump.
43.4%159 filler · 61h savedNaruto Shippuden filler list
2007 to 2017 · 500 episodesShippuden's filler comes two ways: long side arcs, and short anime-only breaks right in the middle of the war. The last seventeen episodes aren't filler at all; they adapt official novels.
38.2%191 filler · 73h savedNaruto filler list
2002 to 2007 · 220 episodesOriginal Naruto saves its filler for the end: nearly everything from episode 136 to 219 was made up while the manga raced ahead. Our plan keeps episodes through 135 except the listed filler, then 141, 142 (mixed) and 220 before Shippuden.
41.4%91 filler · 35h savedBlack Clover filler list
2017 to 2021, season 2 from October 2026 · 175 episodesBlack Clover keeps its filler to a few recaps, one chibi gag episode and a long anime-only training stretch before the Spade Kingdom story. Season 2, which started in October 2026, has been manga so far.
20%35 filler · 13h savedBoruto filler list
2017 to 2023 (Part 1) · 293 episodesBoruto is mostly filler, and not by a little. The weekly anime kept catching up with a monthly manga, so the studio filled whole arcs with its own stories. If you only want the main story, you can get through it in under a third of the running time.
71%208 filler · 80h savedMy Hero Academia filler list
2016 to 2025 · 170 episodesMy Hero Academia barely has filler: three anime-only episodes in 170. You can watch it straight through and lose very little time.
1.8%3 filler · 1h savedDragon Ball Z filler list
1989 to 1996 · 291 episodesDragon Ball Z keeps its filler in a few clear blocks: Goku's detours on Snake Way, the Garlic Jr. arc after Frieza, and the Other World Tournament after Cell. Four more episodes are mostly anime-only but keep a manga scene, so we mark them mixed.
10.3%30 filler · 12h savedFairy Tail filler list
2009 to 2019 · 328 episodesFairy Tail puts most of its filler in two long anime-only arcs: Key of the Starry Sky (125 to 150) and the Eclipse Celestial Spirits story (204 to 218). The final series, from episode 278, is all manga.
15.2%50 filler · 19h savedDragon Ball filler list
1986 to 1989 · 153 episodesOriginal Dragon Ball has little filler: 20 anime-only episodes in four short blocks out of 153. Skip them and you go straight from one manga arc to the next.
13.1%20 filler · 8h savedInuyasha filler list
2000 to 2004, The Final Act 2009 to 2010 · 193 episodesInuyasha's filler comes as short anime-only side stories, plus one long run of thirteen episodes (89 to 101) just before the Band of Seven. The Final Act, which finishes the story, has none.
19.2%37 filler · 14h savedHunter x Hunter filler list
2011 to 2014 · 148 episodesHunter x Hunter (2011) has no anime-only story at all. The only episodes you can skip are two recaps, 13 and 26.

What the labels mean
- Manga canonStraight from the manga. Watch it.
- MixedSome manga, some anime-only scenes. Keep it, or you lose part of the plot.
- Anime canonNot in the manga, but adapted from an official novel or one-shot.
- Needs reviewOur two sources disagree or one is missing. Keep it until we settle it.
- FillerMade up for the anime. Skip it and the story still makes sense.
How we decide what counts as filler
Every label is checked against two independent sources: the show's fan wiki, which lists the manga chapters each episode adapts, and Wikipedia's episode lists, which mark anime-only episodes. When they disagree, Muhammad Shakeel checks the episode against the manga by hand. How we label episodes.
Is it safe to skip filler?
For the story, yes. Filler episodes aren't in the manga, but anime-only callbacks and character moments can still appear later. What you can lose is the odd good episode, which is why every show page has a short list of filler we'd still watch. For the longer answer, read what filler is and why anime has it.
